NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut PAC Endorses Special Election State House Candidates

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 19, 2017

Hartford, CT – The April special election race for the 7th District seat in the Connecticut House of Representatives is demonstrating the depth of support for reproductive rights in our state. NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut PAC is proud to endorse all three candidates running for the seat, who are all 100% pro-choice.

At a time when we see national politicians attacking reproductive rights, here in Connecticut, our politicians are reaffirming their support for pro-choice policies. Reproductive rights are intimately entwined with economic security, and these candidates all recognize the importance of contraceptive coverage, abortion access, and other issues connected to reproductive health for women across Connecticut.

NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut PAC Board President Jillian Gilchrest said, "Politicians in Connecticut are deeply committed to supporting reproductive rights. Our endorsement of three candidates running in the 7th House District is a demonstration of the strength of support for pro-choice politics here. We look forward to seeing another strongly pro-choice candidate elected to office later this month who can then help move forward vital legislation protecting reproductive healthcare in our state.”
